Keep it Sweet – SRG

No automatic alt text available.
Do you have a special occasion coming up? A wedding, baby shower, school prom? Are you looking for something a wee bit different to entertain your guests? Keep it Sweet are a candy cart hire business who can cater for any special occasion. For a one off hire fee the cart will come complete with decorations to match your theme plus sweeties, tongs and bags for your guests to make up their own sweetie goodie bag.
Keep it Sweet are a Self-Reliant Group who formed about 10 months ago with local people who want to do a little bit more. They meet and save regularly, rotate leadership and are not dependant on funding. Starting out as a craft group, they tried selling at some local fairs but found the market extremely competitive. They saw an opportunity for the candy cart hire business that they could try out but needed a bit more capital than their savings could offer so they took out a WeeLoan from WEvolution (DESN Associate Member) to drive their candy cart business dreams forward. They’ve worked really hard to achieve the right hygiene certificates and arrange public liability insurance so they can begin trading and they had their first official hire last week at the Camperdown Primary School P7 Prom, Dundee. The feedback was excellent and the group are excited to get some more bookings arranged. In the meantime, they are promoting the cart at the Coldside Summer Festival this Saturday. Come and say Hi if you’re there!
If you would like any more information, please follow Keep it Sweet on Facebook where you can send them a private message. Alternatively, you can send Kirst Slater, SRG Coordeinator, WEvolution your contact information and questions to pass on.
