How To Draft a Business Plan by Dundee and Angus College
Please come down to our studio from 6-9pm on Tuesday 24th October. The AGM will commence 6.30-7.30pm so you can stay for as little as or as long as you like either side of the meeting, but it would be great to see all your lovely faces.
To give you some context for this email and to make sure we’re all on the same page, here’s a little update about the latest happenings. You may already be aware that things at DCW haven’t been running particularly smoothly over the past few months… Due to lack of funding since our creative scotland funds have now finished, DCW have unfortunately had to say goodbye to both Steph Liddell as our ceramics studio assistant and to Kevin Andrew Morris, our studio technician. This leaves us again to be completely volunteer based.
Consequently we feel it’s time to reassess our situation: why we’re here, what we’re doing, and how we’re doing it. We would of course like to apply for more funding from here, but we need to hear from our members to find out what we all think this should look like. For this we would very much like to have input from all our members – whether your practice engages with ceramics or not. At the end of the day we are still Tin Roof and hold onto our original ideas and ideals for a collective space as we always have.
We hope you’re available to join us on our evening of sharing food and drink together to catch up and to talk about the future of Tin Roof and Dundee Ceramics Workshop. In the meantime, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch! We will still be around to operate the kiln and the workshop when possible.
Thanks and hope to see you soon – remember we’re at our new address: Unit 6, Mathew Court, Milne’s East Wynd, Dundee DD1 5BA
