This is especially relevant to you if you are in the early stages of developing your social enterprise idea, or if you have received funding through John Sharp Futures Fund or Dundee Futures Fund.

Pete Murray, Media Trust. Film-making with your mobile phone.
This is an opportunity to participate in a video production workshop where you can gain skills in How to Shoot; How to Frame; Recording Sound; and Editing Using your Mobile Phone delivered by Pete Murray from the Media Trust.
The Media Trust have been delivering training in a wide range of media skills to charities, social enterprises and small businesses across Scotland since 2013 as well as producing TV programmes featuring some of the most compelling stories from the Third Sector in Scotland for the Community Channel as part of their Big Lottery-Funded project, Do Something Brilliant. Pete’s background is in news journalism, mobile video, podcasting and social media campaigning.
This workshop is aimed at those with some basic experience of shooting video with their mobile phones. The morning (10am – 1pm) provides details of useful approaches and techniques, and includes a couple of brief practical exercises, while attending the full day allows for further practical exercises, and will include a more detailed look at how to use film as part of a social media strategy.
Please note: you will need to bring along a mobile phone or a tablet which is able to take photos/record videos.

Health & Social Care Group, Event – Creating More Choice and Doing Things Differently

This event will build on previous sessions and will highlight how personalised and effective services are currently being delivered in Dundee and wider afield.
