A new partnership between the Factory Skatepark, Mid-Lin Day Care and Dundee Social Enterprise Network has been established to provide a range of community transport initiatives. The new services will be come under the banner of the Good To Go Bus and will provide a bookable service for community group outings.
Our aim is to enable vulnerable people and communities who don't have their own vehicle or can't easily use public transport to access key services, and get to social engagements and other activities. To meet these needs the Good to Go provides the following services; Shopping Service, Good to Go Out Fund and Bookable Service.
The shopping service runs on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. All those using the service need to complete a membership form and hand it to the driver on the first day of use.

There is a growing evidence base of the advantages community transport can play in addressing a range of social issues, not just loneliness and isolation. These impacts can benefit a wider population cohort (such as youth and the working age population) and have positive outcomes in areas such as employability, crime prevention and victim support. To this end the Good to Go Bus service provides additional support for the people of Dundee, see below.
A series of spring pre-bookable trips open to Community Groups of adults and older people only. If you would like to book onto a trip, or find out more call 01382 504848 For more information click Spring Going Out Fund
This is a pilot service for older and disabled passengers. This 15 seat bus, journeys from the city centre with departures from The Howff Bus Shelter at 4.15pm and 5.15pm and will drop passengers along the route shown above. Passengers will need to join the Good to Go Travel Club before using the service (this is free to join). For more info click Good to Go drop-off service leaflet
To try and overcome this barrier and establish the need/demand, we are looking to run a short pilot scheme, where we will offer free transport to a limited number of care homes. We will shape this service on customer preferences, but it will probably run predominantly at weekends and in evenings. For more information click care-home-visitor-service-leaflet
